WEX Global Water & Energy Exchange is taking place on 2-4 March 2020 in Valencia, Spain. It is the perfect place to work together, meet other water professionals and generate synergies.
Idrica is hosting this edition, which includes more than 80 speakers from 40+ countries, who will debate critical issues related to “Delivering Smart Circular Solutions for a more Sustainable World”. The agreement to hold the 14th edition of the event in Valencia was reached a few months ago after conversations between Mark Barker CEO of WEX and Jaime Barba CEO of Idrica.
WEX Global occupies a unique place in the water conference calendar due to the level of participants and the opportunity to hold 1-to-1 private meetings. In addition, expert panels will take place to discuss about smart water management, IoT technologies and the digital transformation of the industry. The session “How Deep Tech technology is transforming water, energy and Smart Cities” will be led by Jaime Barba, CEO of Idrica.
During the event, several leaders from Idrica, Global Omnium and GoHub will take part in Conference Sessions on Deep Tech, Innovation, Leadership and Smart Instrumentation & Control. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Serious Games initiative from Dragan Savic, CEO of KWR Water Research Institute.
The WEX Global Awards will be presented during the gala dinner at the Valencian Oceanographic. They are awarded to innovative projects in the categories of: process technology, water and energy, water and/or waste water management, operations, infrastructures, technology, finance/ partnerships, desalination and circular economy. Miguel Ángel Ayllón COO of Idrica has joined the jury of experts for these awards, whose aim is to protect the planet by broadcasting the best examples of circular economy strategies in the water sector. Idrica will also sponsor the Circular Economy Water Project of the Year 2020.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend different activities organized by Idrica in the city. During these days, Valencia is immersed in the celebration of Las Fallas, the local festival declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity which combines gunpowder, satire, art and a passion for fire. For that reason, on the first day of the event WEX attendees will have the opportunity to join the the Mascletà fireworks from a privileged spot, relax during the cocktail and visit during the afternoon the facilities of the Global Omnium / GoAigua’s Digital Twin, which is a benchmark in the industry.
WEX Global 2020 event is an excellent opportunity to meet the leaders of the water and energy sectors. Idrica’s team is thrilled to welcome all participants in Valencia!
