GoHub, the tech accelerator managed by Idrica, the global water technology company, has become a shareholder of Aganova, a leading company in the detection of leaks in internal, distribution and water transport networks. The investment, of 525,000 euros, was made through GoHub Ventures.

Aganova’s Sphere

Aganova’s system is based on the introduction of a small sphere in large diameter pipes. The sphere runs through the center of the pipe to detect leaks, air pockets and anomalies by processing the sound using a complex mathematical algorithm. Thanks to this innovation, the system locates leaks and problems in water and sanitation systems accurately, quickly, effectively and cost-efficiently. It can check more than 35 kilometers in a single insertion and locates leaks as small as 0.005 liters per second, with a minimum margin of error.

The investment allows Idrica to add a new service and bring additional value to its customers, who are present in four continents. With this investment Aganova will incorporate the smart algorithms developed by Idrica and benefit from the company’s technology and knowledge, dedicated to process improvement.

According to Agustín Ramírez, founder and CEO of Aganova, “This commitment not only offers us greater traction in our industrial component, but will also provide us with its strategic vision, technological experience and digital transformation of the sector to keep providing added value to our customers”.

Nautilus System

At Idrica we offer technological solutions for the water cycle management, from network and plant maintenance, smart leak detection or work order management, and operation. Jaime Barba, Idrica’s CEO, stated that, “The investment will allow us to incorporate a new solution for advanced leak detection in the network, thus promoting the digital transformation of the water sector in its processes and infrastructure”.
