Idrica set to be one of the sponsors of the Spanish National Day in Qatar

On October 12, 2022, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Spain in Qatar will be organizing a special event in Doha to mark the Spanish National Day. The meeting, which will be attended by more than 500 guests, is being staged in person once again after a two-year hiatus. It will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel and several members of the Idrica Qatar team will be involved in the event.

The Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, one of the event promoters, is a non-profit association founded in Doha in 2009. Its aim is to support the internationalization of Spanish companies in the region.

Aguas de Valencia – Idrica Qatar, a subsidiary of this leading multinational dealing with the digital transformation of water, is one of the event’s Gold sponsors. This is a unique opportunity to strengthen ties with members of the Spanish community in Qatar, and to continue working to digitally transform water in a region where the optimization of this scarce resource is key.

After starting its operations in Qatar in 2015, Idrica has grown sharply, and currently has over 200 employees in its team of 16 different nationalities. In fact, the company has carried out important projects in the country to promote more sustainable use of water. Some examples include leak detection, consultancy and engineering for hydraulic projects, the operation and maintenance of wastewater plants and networks in the West Zone of Qatar, a smart irrigation pilot in several green areas, and a number of holistic digital solutions to optimize water efficiency.
