Idrica has implemented its GoAigua Billing solution for billing and collection management in Empresa Mixta Metropolitana (EMIMET) in Valencia, Spain.

The first part of the project focused on laying the groundwork for the implementation of the GoAigua Billing solution, taking into account EMIMET’s billing requirements, based on the established standards. Subsequently, the solution was rolled out, and included integration with metering systems and customer management platforms.

Empresa Mixta Metropolitana S.A (EMIMET) was set up by the Entidad Metropolitana de Servicios HidrƔulicos (EMSHI) and Global Omnium. It manages upstream water distribution from the DWTP to the municipalities that make up the Metropolitan Area of Valencia (Spain), which has a total surface area of 620 km2 and a supplied population of 1.6 million inhabitants. This network, made up of large-diameter pipes, connects the different subsystems that ultimately distribute drinking water to users.
