The aim of the project is to implement a tool that manages BALTEN’s entire customer billing cycle. The tool will also manage the utility’s subscribers and meters and organize its work orders. It will also include a GIS viewer and the customer’s web portal, among other potential features. This contract is part of BALTEN’s comprehensive Digital Transformation Project.
To cater for these needs, Billing One and Customer Portal will be implemented. These are two of the solutions included in the Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua platform, which was created as a result of the agreement between Idrica and Xylem, and also draws on the experience of the century-old utility Global Omnium.

The main benefits of deploying this tool are the optimization of the utility’s management and billing processes, thus increasing its efficiency, speeding up decision-making, improving customer service, and harnessing a system that can be used to deploy remote meter reading.
The project has been divided into two main phases. The first twelve-month stage consists of delivering and implementing the tool, while the second stage covers a four-year maintenance period.
