On October 15, Idrica Mexico (GoAigua Mex S.A) was awarded the Socially Responsible Company (ESR) 2024 Award for its work in the field of social responsibility and sustainability.
The award, granted by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI), comes after comprehensive analysis and assessment of the indicators defined by CEMEFI, which encompass four key areas: environment, social responsibility, governance, and global context. These CSR indicators are aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). According to Nicolás Monterde, Chief Operating Manager LATAM at Idrica, “this award reflects our economic, social and environmental commitment, and proves that our decisions are focused on the positive impact that our actions have on the world“.
Begoña Gónzalez, Head of Quality and Information Security at Idrica, emphasized that this achievement “has been reached thanks to the partnership with Servicios de Agua y Drenaje de Monterrey (SADM), who implement a Voluntary Corporate Social Responsibility Model, aligned with CEMEFI’s Operating Rules”.
Every year, SADM invites some of its main suppliers to partake in this model and, on this occasion, Idrica Mexico was selected to be part of this process, showcasing its commitment to compliance with the stringent responsibility standards laid down by CEMEFI.
Thus, this award highlights both Idrica Mexico’s commitment to operational efficiency, sustainability, and improving the well-being of its employees, customers and society in general, as well as positioning it as a benchmark in the water sector in terms of social responsibility and business ethics.
