The next SWAN Annual Conference will take place virtually from 22-24 July focused on “Moving Beyond Data to Value Creation.” The 10th edition of this event promoted by the Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) will bring together global water leaders to discuss the latest industry trends in different workshops and interactive sessions. SWAN is the leading global hub for the smart water sector, whose aim is to accelerate the awareness and adoption of “smart,” data-driven solutions in water and wastewater networks worldwide.
The conference will dive into global water and wastewater challenges and explore innovative, data-driven solutions. The participants of the 3-day virtual event can download a Mobile App for networking and matchmaking.
SWAN Conference 2020 follows the success of last year’s edition in Miami, with 340 attendees from 21 countries, and the participation of 40 utility speakers. For a second consecutive year, Idrica will be involved as sponsor.

This year’s virtual water event features over 25 global utility speakers, and diverse industry experts. The day before it begins, on July 21st, SWAN will be co-hosting the 3rd SWAN Digital Twin Workshop, sponsored by Idrica. Its goal is to develop a common strategy for adopting this technology by bringing together global water leaders from utilities, solution providers, engineering firms, government, and academia.
Dr. Pilar Conejos, Head of Network Control and Regulation at the Spanish water utility Global Omnium, will participate in the panel moderated by Gigi Karmous-Edwards. She will share the lessons learned in the development and implementation of GoAigua’s Digital Twin technology in the water utility. Pablo Calabuig, CEO GoAigua US, will host one of the interactive roundtable sessions during the workshop.
On July 22nd and 23rd, SWAN Annual Conference will be holding different roundtable discussions led by leading industry experts and covering cutting-edge topics related to water and wastewater. Chema Nebot, Business Development Director at Idrica, will host the session “A holistic approach to water network management – from sensing to Digital Twins” on July 22nd, and Iago Vázquez, Country Manager in Saudi Arabia, will lead the same discussion on July 23rd.
